A series of activities for tourists in Da Nang

VietNamNet Bridge - From June 28 to July 3, tourists to Da Nang will have the opportunity to experience many interesting activities such as non-motorized paragliding, art football, coracle shaking in the sea, quick eating and quick drinking, etc.

Da Nang has been successful in attracting tourists to the international paragliding competition 2012.

These are the activities scheduled for the program "Da Nang - summer rendezvous" at the East Sea Park in Son Tra district on 28/6 - 3/7, announced the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City yesterday, June 13.

Specifically, Korean artists will perform music with kitchen appliances besides a non-motorize paragliding and an art football festivals for the athletes from six Asian countries.

Several competitions will be held for tourists, including the "Tourism Relay" with three events - 200 m swimming and 2,000 m running and racing; a swimming contest; a coracle shaking competition; a marathon and a fast eating and drinking competition.

This is a series of cultural, sports and tourism events to attract visitors to Da Nang in the summer. The program was initially scheduled in mid-June but it was postponed because of coinciding with the "Quang Nam Itinerary Heritage" Festival on June 21 - 26.

Travel companies forecast that the number of visitors to Da Nang this year will increase by more than 20 percent compared to the same period in 2012.
