The visit aims to grasp Vietnam’s situation, Vietnam-US relations and the two sides’ cooperation in handling the Missing in Action issue, heard Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO).
At the reception on the same day, Hong briefed the guests on Vietnam’s current socio-economic development and VUFO’s activities in promoting Vietnam-US people diplomacy.
Regarding Vietnam’s efforts in dealing with the aftermaths of war, the VUFO President expressed his wish that the AL will continue to pay attention to humanitarian aid and help overcome the consequences of Agent Orange/dioxin and unexploded ordnance.
