The Vietnamese Government leader also praised Cambodia for
helping a delegation led by National Assembly (NA) Chairman Heng Samrin to
Vietnam to attend the ceremony to mark the 35th anniversary of the victory in
the southwest border defence war and the joint victory of Vietnam and
Cambodia over the genocidal regime (January 7).
He described the delegation’s involvement in the ceremony as a
contribution to strengthening the friendship, cooperation and mutual
assistance between the two peoples, confirming the just cause by the
Cambodian and Vietnamese soldiers and people to overthrow Khmer Rouge, the
most brutal genocidal regime in the history of mankind and win a victory on
January 7, 1979.
The two PMs pledged further support for Vietnamese businesses,
enabling them to run long-term investment in the country while expressing
strong will to lift two-way trade to US$5 million by 2015.
