Body of second jet pilot recovered
Search crews have recovered the body of the second pilot
killed when two Su-22 fighter jets crashed into the sea while on a training
exercise two weeks ago.

Lieutenant-General Vo Van Tuan,
deputy commander of the Vietnamese People’s Army, said on May 1 the body of
Captain Nguyen Anh Tu had been recovered in the same area where divers found
the body of Lieutenant-Colonel Le Van Nghia in the remains of the cockpit of
his crashed jet on April 28.
Major-General Do Minh Tuan, air
defense deputy commander, said the search was continuing for debris,
particularly the flight recorders, from the two fighter jets, which
apparently collided mid-air on April 16 about 15km north of Phu Quy Island.
The jets were on a training exercise
from Air Division 370, based at
Fishermen reported seeing the jets
collide and crash into the sea. They did not see any parachutes.
