The two are the last patients of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, to walk out of the hospital in the province.
The Hue Central Hospital – Branch 2 completed the paperwork to discharge the two patients on Tuesday morning.
They are a man and a woman.

Both tested negative for the virus twice before their discharge.
A hospital representative presented two conical hats, the province’s symbols, as souvenirs to the two recovered patients.
They will be isolated for another 14 days at Sun & Sea Resort in Phu Vang District, Thua Thien-Hue Province, as per Ministry of Health regulations.
The female patient expressed her gratitude to the medical team at the hospital for treating her for the disease.
She told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the first thing she would do when she arrives home is write a thank-you letter to the doctors and health workers at the Hue Central Hospital – Branch 2, whom she called “friends.”

The hospital had discharged patients No. 33 and 49 earlier.
Hospital staff are extremely happy to help all four patients in Thua Thien-Hue recover from the disease, said Dr. Nguyen Dinh Khoa, deputy director of the hospital.
“This is a big motivation for us to continue our fight against COVID-19,” he said.
“We are still quarantining and monitoring 14 suspected cases.”
The Ministry of Health said on Tuesday afternoon that an additional number of 27 patients had made a full recovery from the disease, including 11 in Hanoi, nine in Ho Chi Minh City, four in Dong Thap Province, two in Thua Thien-Hue Province, and one in Ben Tre Province.
The Southeast Asian country has confirmed 245 COVID-19 cases so far, with a total of 122 having been released from hospitals.
