Tran Tho temporarily replaces Ba Thanh as Da Nang’s Party Chief VietNamNet Bridge – The Politburo has assigned Mr. Tran Tho, Deputy Party Secretary of Da Nang City, to be temporarily replace Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh as the city’s Party Secretary, said the Da Nang Party Committee this morning, February 19. Earlier, the Politburo assigned Thanh, a member of the Party Central Committee, the Party Secretary of Da Nang and Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Council, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Da Nang as the Head of the newly-established Central Committee for Internal Affairs. This committee began operating on February 1. Da Nang has had the temporary Party Chief but it does not have the Chair of the People’s Council and head of the National Assembly delegation yet after Thanh was appointed as the chief of the Central Committee for Internal Affairs.
