HA NOI (VNS)— Ministries and localities should focus on settling
inventories and bad loans, while removing barriers for enterprises to
boost production and trade.
The comments were made yesterday by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at a meeting with leaders of ministries and localities.
He asked relevant agencies to keep track of people’s lives
post-harvest to offer them timely support and also called for
developments in the labour market to be monitored to ensure labour
forces for enterprises’ operations.
Ministries are also being urged to conduct economic restructuring, especially to banking systems, in the coming months.
In addition, traffic safety and crime prevention should also be ensured, he said.
At the meeting, the government office put forward the idea that state
offices, public officials and labourers should accomplish their tasks
and ensure projects’ progress after the long Tet holiday.
The office also suggested relevant agencies and localities observe
market developments and the prices of necessities to work out effective
contingency measures in the case of sudden changes in inflation.
