Tuoitre A joint inspection team in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday caught many cases of prostitution in hotels, including cases in which two young men prostituted themselves to two middle-aged women. The team, including cultural and social officers and anti-social crime policemen, raided two hotels in District 5 last night, catching many men having sex with prostitutes. The most notable among the cases found at the first hotel were two cases in which two very young men were prostituting themselves to two middle-aged women. According to initial investigation, the young men were paid VND300,000 (US$14.4) each by the women. At the second hotel, inspectors discovered five cases of love-making between men and prostitutes. In one case two male homosexuals, 31 and 36 years old, had sex with each other, with one of them paying the other VND200,000. All the people involved in the case were later handed over to the social crime investigation agency of the city police department for handling.
