holds potential for local wood products

Vietnam has opportunities to expand exports of
wood products this year, especially to the US market, delegates said at a
conference on March 12.
Despite global economic difficulties, the wood processing industry has enjoyed an average growth of 15 percent over the past seven years (2008-14), said Huynh Van Hanh, Deputy Chairman of the Handicrafts and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City (Hawa). Last year the country earned 6.2 billion USD from the export of wood and wooden products, a year-on-year increase of 11.5 percent, Hanh told participants at a conference on Export to the US Market: Opportunities and Challenges.
