Vingroup, the property
conglomerate behind many deluxe trade centers and residential developments in
Vietnam, has been honored in three categories of the reputable Asia Pacific
Property Awards, given away in Malaysia this week.
The
Hanoi-based firm, Vietnam's largest listed real estate developer, was given
three much-coveted awards for their development of Vinhomes Central Park,
Landmark 81 and Vinhomes Times City - Park Hill during a ceremony held in
Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Among them,
Vinhomes Central Park, located in Ho Chi Minh City, which boasts the design
of a miniature green hub, was named Vietnam’s Best Mixed-Used Development.
Meanwhile,
the Landmark 81 was voted Vietnam’s Best High-Rise Development at the 2016
Asia Pacific Property Awards.
It is one of
many global projects on which British firm Atkins, which is the project’s
lead architect, has collaborated with Arup, another British company, Atkins
said in a press release in March 2015.
With an
expected height of 460m, the building will be the tallest in the country and
become a new icon over Ho Chi Minh City’s ever-growing skyline upon its
completion in 2017, according to Atkins.
The other of
Vingroup’s 2016 Asia Pacific Property Awards went to Vinhomes Times City -
Park Hill, with 70 percent of its area dedicated to greenery, in the Best
Residential Landscape Architecture category.
Stuart
Shield, president of the International Property Media, which is the organizer
of the awards, announced at Friday’s ceremony that all the three Vingroup
projects had been nominated to represent the Asia Pacific region at the
International Property Awards, to be given in London in December.
The Asia
Pacific Property Awards is part of the International Property Awards, given
away annually by the UK-based International Property Media Ltd.
The
International Property Awards is open to residential and commercial property
professionals from around the globe, according to the firm’s website.
The awards
celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all
sectors of the property and real estate industry, and an International
Property Award is thus a world-renowned mark of excellence.
They are
split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean,
Central & South America, Europe, the UK, and the U.S.
Participants
are judged by a highly experienced team of professionals who cover the whole
range of property disciplines.
Companies
selected as winners are then invited to attend a glittering awards dinner for
each region and have the right to use the prestigious logo in their
marketing.
Vingroup
also nabbed prizes at the 2014 and 2015 editions of the prestigious
International Property Awards, along with a clutch of other international
recognitions.
Vingroup was
founded in 1993 by a group of Vietnamese youths in Ukraine under the name of
Technocom, which was mainly involved in the food production industry.
After
growing as one of the largest and most influential companies in Ukraine by
the early 21st century,
Technocom looked to Vietnam to expand its business in real estate and
hospitality with the initial key brands of Vincom and Vinpearl.
The two
brands merged into Vingroup JSC in 2012, which has since developed into one
of the most dynamic, successful, and well-capitalized companies in Vietnam.
Vingroup has
consistently been assessed by experts and the market as the leading real
estate developer in Vietnam, as evidenced by other credible rankings and
awards.
Vingroup’s
Vinhomes was the only real estate brand to be named one of the ten most
valuable in Vietnam by the world’s leading intangible asset valuation company
Brand Finance in October 2015.
