Passengers taking domestic
flights in Vietnam are now allowed to keep all sizes of liquids, aerosols and
gels with them in the cabin, as a new circular entered into force on Sunday.
The liquid
ban is only relaxed for domestic flights, with restriction kept for outbound
services, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) said, citing the new
rule.
The Ministry
of Transport’s circular allows domestic flyers to carry liquids, aerosols,
gels, creams and pastes with them in carry-on luggage, regardless of the
quantities or container sizes.
In the
meantime, those who take international flights are allowed to carry no more
than one liter of liquids, aerosols, gels, and the like in total, according
to the CAAV. The liquids should each be in 100ml containers at most.
The
restrictions are exempt for infant milk or food in liquid form when
passengers travel with babies, and for liquid medicines with prescription.
Flyers are
allowed to keep all sizes of duty free liquids, so long as they are kept in
tamper-evident bags.
