Is this sign of apocalypse? UFO spotted in Vietnam The controversy photo. A 19-year-old youth in the central province of Thanh Hoa claims to have captured the image of a UFO while taking photos in his garden last Sunday. But it is likely to be a very crude photoshop job. The accidental sighter Le Khac Dat said he was at his family’s shop at about 5pm on December 9 when he took some photos in the garden with a cell phone. “But when I later looked at this photo, I found a round flying object,” Dat was quoted by VnExpress as saying.  Initial admission of fraud “At first, Dat told police he used a photo editing software to merge a UFO into the photo but later he claimed the photo was shot by chance,” said Le Trung Tuan, chairman of Hoang Ha People’s Committee, adding “police are working on it”. Nguyen Duc Phuong, a member of Vietnam Club of Astronomy, said that the photo was fake, elaborating: “UFO does not exist in reality. It is just a product of human imagination or fear.”  For now, the object looks really like a UFO in Hollywood movies. The industry has also churned out apocalyptic films like “2012” that predicts the world could end in a few days’ time on December 21, 2012 as the Mayans once believed. TuoitreNews
