winter chill
As one of the 20 largest waterfalls
in the world, Ban Gioc Waterfalls in
It was really cold last week when we took the plunge, but we suppose the chilly weather brings out the romantic in me, so we didn’t waiver. Feasting our eyes on this beautiful spot it was tough to listen to background information by the tour guide. Ban Gioc Waterfall on the The waterfall falls are thirty meters high, separated into three falls by rocks and trees, and the thundering effect of the water hitting the cliffs can be heard some kilometers away. Surrounded by picturesque karst peaks, the water rushes down a three-tiered cliff and is separated into three falls by rocks and trees. The guide said that the scenery changes according to the seasons. In spring, the flame-red blossoms are in full bloom, whereas it turns golden-yellow in autumn, its waters become stronger and more violent in summer and during winter the fall’s clear water drops tenderly. The waterfalls are divided into two parts, one for the Chinese and the other for the Vietnamese side. However, we were proud to stand on the Vietnamese side as here tourists can see the whole of the beauty of the falls. Moreover, Vietnamese side is also endowed with private beautiful falls on the right. We lingered for about two hours, just to admire the fairytale scenery, take hundreds of photos and breathe in the fresh air. It is such a great spot for tourists to just stroll around or sit and admire the scenery. Do you have any plans for the upcoming Tet holidays? Think about heading north to Cao Bang.
