Party leader collects voters’ ideas

General Secretary of the
Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong on September 28 met with
voters in Hanoi’s districts of Tay Ho and Hoan Kiem to take their ideas
in preparation for the sixth session of the National Assembly scheduled
to start next month.
Voters said they hope that during the upcoming session, the land law will be amended so that the land management will be strengthened, contributing to the prevention of and the fight against corruption in this field, as well as the working out of policies on rational compensation and support for resettlement. On the macro-economic management, voters raised questions on the restructuring of State-owned enterprises and the efficiency of the work, and held that the corruption fight has not yielded outcomes that match their expectation. Many voters also voiced their concern on the operation efficiency of State officials, and on the job creation. Party leader Trong took note of the ideas, especially those on the mass mobilisation work, the religious work, the building of administrations at various levels, and the grassroots inspection. He affirmed the Part and State’s determination in the prevention of and the fight against corruption and wastefulness.
The Party
chief also briefed voters on the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations,
the situation in the East Sea, and the Party and State’s stance in
solving the disputes and maintaining peace in the sea while safeguarding
the country’s independence and sovereignty over the sea and islands.-VNA
