 PM to talk directly with Youth Union Congress

 VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung will have a direct dialogue on December 14 with nearly 1,000 outstanding members of the Youth Union, according to the First Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee, Nguyen Dac Vinh.

Mr. Vinh said this is the first time a Government chief hold face-to-face conversation with delegates to the Youth Union Congress, providing a good opportunity for the youth to express their desire and ideas.
PM Dung is also expected to clarify the Government’s orientations and policies on such fields like education, young human resource development, modernization and international integration among others.
These outstanding members are now attending the 10th National Youth Union Congress, which is held every five years to work out major orientations for the Union in the next five years.
The Union currently has 25 million members, accounting for 28.9% of the population and 36.4% of the workforce.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the Congress on Wednesday, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong praised the youth’s all-out efforts to overcome hardship and excel in their studies and work, devoting themselves to national industrialization and modernization.
They are forming the core of the vanguard movements such as economic development and poverty reduction programs, contributing to turning Viet Nam into a wealthy people, a strong nation, and an equitable, democratic and civilized society, said the Party chief./.
