The company also presented its extensive range of
services for the petrochemical industries – from technical support and
maintenance through life cycle service agreements to consulting services on
industrial safety and security, and energy management.
Its new Comos 10 software has a significantly expanded
range of functions, which can manage the largest volumes of data for plant
management, from engineering through to production, said a company press
release.
The integration of process engineering and automation
has also been developed further. A new interface ensures a consistent,
bidirectional exchange of information between Comos and the Simatic PCS 7
process control system.
Meanwhile, Siemens version 8 of the Simatic PCS 7
process control system has a multitude of new functions.
Innovations range from an improved data exchange and a
simplified engineering workflow through more powerful communication,
redundancy and high-availability functions to new controllers and expanded
functionalities in the software tools.
The company’s technological portfolio for the refining
and petrochemical industry is distinguished by high performance, plant
availability and process stability, which are achieved by redundancy, secure
fieldbus communication, and control and maintenance concepts.
President and CEO of Siemens Vietnam Pham Thai Lai
said: "Globally, we are working closely with many world-leading
petrochemical companies to enable them to get the most out of their plants.
