Police in the south-central city of Nha Trang are investigating the death of an unidentified foreign man who died after allegedly falling from the sixth floor of a hotel early this morning.

The fatal incident occurred at 4:00 am at the 4-star Galliot Hotel on Nguyen Thien Thuat Street in the “backpacker area” of the city.

The man is believed to fall to the ground in front of the hotel. His body was found by some passers-by, who covered it with plastic and called police to the scene.

The window of the hotel room where the man was staying was open, some witnesses said.

Police are coordinating with the hotel to get the dead man’s personal information, including his name, age, and nationality.

A similar fatal incident occurred at the Sheraton Hotel on Dong Du Street, District 1, in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of February 24.

A 50-year-old Australian citizen died after falling from the 20th floor of the hotel to the 6th floor.

At 8:00 am that morning, many guests at the hotel were in a panic after witnessing the man fall.

An ambulance was immediately called to the scene but the man was dead by the time it arrived.
