Tropical storm Rumbia likely to get stronger

The expected path of tropical storm Rumbia

Packing winds of up to 74 kph, tropical storm Rumbia is moving northeast in the East Sea and will likely get stronger in a few days, the Vietnam National Hydro-meteorological Forecasting Center reported.
The storm has been formed from a tropical depression that was located east of the Philippines on Thursday.
At 7 am today, the storm was centered 11.5 degree latitude north and 125.4 degree longitude east, in the central Philippines.
It is moving northwest at 15-20kph and will be located south of the Philippines’ Luzon Island at 7 am Sunday, with winds of  up to 88 kph and gusts of 87-102 kph.
The storm will then move faster, at 20-25 km, and at 7am on July 1 it will be seen 570 km east-northeast of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago, with the same strong wind.

The storm will then move west-northwest  at  the same speed.

Affected by the storm, the northeastern region of the East Sea will be rough and face maximum winds of 87 kph and gusts of up to 117 kph from Sunday afternoon.
