 Ambulance crashes into truck on Trung Luong Highway, 3 died

 Early morning of December 20, an ambulance carrying a patient from the southern province of An Giang to HCM City crashed into the bottom of a truck on the Trung Luong expressway, killing three and injuring two.

At 5am, an ambulance of the Nhat Tan Private Hospital, driven by Tran Minh Hieu, 27, carried patient Bui Tuan Vu, 22, from Chau Doc town in An Giang province to Ho Chi Minh City.
Running on the Trung Luong expressway, around 9km from the toll station in HCM City, the car suddenly crashed into the bottom of a truck.
The ambulance was very much damaged after the crash. The driver, a nurse named Lam Thi Lan, 61, and an unidentified 40 -year-old man died immediately. The patient and his brother – Mr. Bui Van Canh, 27, were seriously injured and trapped inside the ambulance. They were brought to the hospital then.
At the scene, the ambulance was totally deformed while the truck had several scratches.
Traffic police of Ben Luc District, Long An province are investigating the accident.
