Longest
flyover in HCMC opened to traffic
The
Y-shaped flyover at the Cay Go roundabout in District 6 is opened to traffic
on October 19, 2013
After 5 months of construction at a cost of VND314 billion
(US$14.81 million) , the Y-shaped flyover at the Gay Go roundabout in
District 6, Ho Chi Minh City was opened to traffic this morning.
This is the sixth steel flyover and the longest in

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Huu Tin, deputy chairman of
the HCMC People’s Committee said the new flyover will contribute to easing
congestion at the city’s western area in rush hours.
The facility will also facilitate the travel of vehicles to
the HCMC-Trung Luong expressway, he said.
He also asked the department to check all the six steel
flyovers in the city to repair damage or defects, if any.
