Crucial National
Assembly session opens in Ha Noi
HA NOI (VNS) - The draft of the revised 1992 Constitution and
seven important bills are expected to be reviewed and adopted at the 13th
National Assembly's sixth session that begins today in Ha Noi.
The seven bills
include laws on land; petition processing; plants protection and quarantine;
emulation and reward; bidding; fire fighting and prevention; thrift practice
and waste combat.
During the 40-day
session, deputies will also review and give opinions to 12 other bills and a
number of the country's socio-economic reports, including the reports on the
implementation of socio-economic development plan in 2013 and the plan for
2014; solutions for achieving socio-economic targets by 2015; a report on the
implementation of the project on comprehensive economic restructuring.
They will debate
the report on the prevention and combat against corruption in 2013 and that
on the NA's supreme oversight of the implementation of policies and law on
health insurance for the 2009-12 period.
Deputies will
spend around 3 days for questions and answer sessions with cabinet members on
the country's important political and socio-economic issues.
The NA will
relieve Nguyen Thien Nhan who has been assigned as the
Phuc added that
Dung has nominated foreign minister Pham Binh Minh and Head of the
Government's Office Vu Duc Dam for the positions.
The session shall
have 22 days of live broadcasting on channel VTV1 of Viet Nam Television and
VOV1 of the Voice of Viet Nam Radio on important issues relating to the
revised 1992 Constitution, the revised land law, the country's socio-economic
development plans, health insurance and the implementation of the NA's question
and answer resolutions. - VNS
